The Art Gallery of Alberta is made for public interest. The gallery is situated in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. It is supposed to be one of the great galleries in Canada. It has a collection of over 5000works of art and the collection includes historical and the paintings, sculptures, installation works and the photographs of the recent times by Canadian and international artists. The gallery was first designed in the year 1968 by Don Bittorf and it has presently a collection of $88 million value.

The Art Gallery of Alberta was established in 1924 with the name of “the Edmonton Museum of Arts”. Its first examination was held in the same year. Later the gallery was moved to four various locations such as the Palm Room, the Old Edmonton Public Library and the fourth floor of the Civic Block and the Edmonton motors building.

The Art gallery of Alberta offers you the school tour and the studio programs for the betterment of students and interested people. These exclusively designed programs are developed to bridge a gulf between the art works and the art connoisseurs. In these programs, the professional gallery educators ease a process where the participants get hold back and engage themselves with the works of art. The tours are very interactive and it was designed to rouse dialogue, questions and provide multiple interpretations for the visitors. These programs are designed for the purpose of deep thinking and the improvement of observational skills. The Gallery remains open on Monday to Friday from 10.30 am to 5p.m and the Saturday and the Sunday 11 am to 5 p.m. The admission and the entry procedures of the gallery is given below for the convenience of the interested people.
